After buying usb flash drive its highly important to know how to operate it. Simply a usb flash drive is considered as a small self-powered drive that connects to a computer directly through the usb port. If your Mac and PC are compatible then you can very easily transfer fiels between both Macs and Pcs. Usb flash drive supports all public machines, although some flash drives require a user to install drivers before consumption. Buyer should be confident enough and should not get nervous while dealing with usb flash drive. Today these flash drives are able to hold any type of data including excel, jpeg, video, and text files. Most of the usb flash drives are known by other names also such as key drive, thumb drives, jump drives, usb drives and pen drives in the market.

Suppose you wish to copy files on the Mac, then for that you need to follow certain steps. Firstly insert the flash drive into the usb port, and then a white usb drive icon will appear on the desktop. Here users should find the files or folders they want to copy to the usb flash drive. Then select the files or folders that you want to save to the flash drive by clicking on them. To select more than one, now hold down the APPLE key while you click and select all of the files and folders you wish to save. If you really want to take the benefits of usb flash drive then should learn its operation only. Afterwards, drag and drop the selected files or folders to the white usb flash drive icon. Its highly important for the user to know that once he finished up copying should not on the spot remove the flash drive from the usb port. Instead, drag the white usb flash drive icon to the trash can, located on the dock. Now your white usb flash drive will no more be visible on the desktop. After this only users should remove the usb flash drive from the usb port which is safer for them.
